Learn to learn
The masters of learn to
learn: Babies!

Babies are our true masters in teaching how
we best learn! They can really show us how to learn
to learn!.
At first sight it doesn't appear to be
special, but.....
Did you ever think about this: How much a baby learns within
its first two years of living?
I think that is really incredible!!! It is sooooooo
much!
A lot of people approach a baby as being a
helpless and fully dependable human being. Oh, and don't
forget the 'cute' side of this little guru.
These people tend to forget that this little baby brain has
exceptional learning-, recalling- and intellectual
capacities.
(The moment a baby is born, its brain surpasses the most
advanced computer we can make easily!).
There are some exceptions of course, but
usually a baby learns to speak a language within 2 years.
Some will do even faster.
Because this is normal, we tend to forget how extraordinary
this is. It actually is a very complicated
process!
Just try to imagine we you are looking at a
person who is talking to you. You don't speak that
language. For this example I presume you are not able to
speak Chinese and this Chinese person is talking to
you.
I imagine this is going to be a difficult
and demanding task. You don't understand what this person
is saying. It is even hard to distinct the tone of
voice.
Every baby has had this problem. Every baby had to learn when
something is right and when it is wrong.
I see myself standing in front of a baby
face and tell this baby the cute words:
Goechigoechigoechi! (I try to get a smile of this kids
face.....yes I must be selfish....). Yes, I mean it....I
must be selfish as we know that the moment I do this that
these words do not mean anything. They are used as a
teaser in order to get that smile, isn't it?
But have you ever thought what this kid must be thinking? It is
trying to understand what you are
saying!
In order for a child to learn a language it
means that this kid must get accustomed to the processes.
We are talking about processes like rhythm, counting,
music, physics, linguistic, relations between objects,
memorizing, integration, creativity, logical thinking and
thinking. All these things happen at the same time while
trying to communicate.
Actually, you are doing it at this very
moment you're reading this article.
This also implies that you are still able to do
this. And this
makes you a genius too!.
I know a lot about the memory and I have
seen many remarkable things in the last years. True
geniuses at work. But these are
exceptions!
Babies on the other hand....I see them
constantly and they are the geniuses. They all perform on
an incredible level; they learn a language in less than 2
years. THAT IS AMAZING AND WE SEE IT EVERY SINGLE
DAY!

But now the important
question: HOW DO THEY DO THAT?
In everything they do, they integrate all of
their senses; their eyes, ears, mouth, nose and their
feeling. They look at everything from all angles, they
try to taste it, they smell it, and they feel it and try
to hear it as well.
This brings us to the conclusion that our
senses are the most important tools to start learning
quickly.
By the way, a lot of scientific research has been done on this
topic and proof that my statement is not only my
observation.

studies that show our brain potential.
